The Sika Experience

Hello everyone,

My name is Mérida, and here I’m sharing with all of you my experience in Sika Madrid (Spain):

I began two months ago this wonderful experience in the R&D Resins and Coatings Laboratory, working on a project which objective was to change suppliers for certain products. Since I am a chemistry, I made several specific tests which allow me to confirm that the change will be adequate without jeopardizing or diminishing the quality of the products involved, because this factor is of utmost importance for Sika. For this reason, it has been taken into account  Sika’s own trials along with new trials meeting European standards not yet incorporated to our portfolio of test instructions.

Currently I have plenty of work because I am interested in finishing this project before my departure, which I regret because the work environment has been quite good, the staff working in these installations has a very human profile, is caring and reliable. As a matter of fact, I can tell you that the cooperation with my project has been excellent all the time. I strongly feel we worked as a real team.

I also had the good fortune to spend my birthday in Sika, where I was pampered with lots of hugs and a delicious cake. I leave you in this Post a picture as a souvenir of this day…

Well, I still have a month ahead to keep enjoying this experience that SIKA and CESIF gave me, so I will be back with more about this very soon…
