The Sika Experience

Hi everybody! I’m here again with my news. This time it’s on a coming maritime event which Sika France will take part in: The Paris International Nautical Exhibition – a giant showcase gathering 820 exhibitors, 1400 brands and some estimated 243000 visitors coming from all around the world. The event is programmed for eight days starting from Friday December 7^th until Sunday 14^th at Paris Porte de Versaille. As part of Sika Marine Team, I am so eager and pleased to welcome honoured guesses at our stand numbered C28 hall 2.1

Since it is one of the most important events of Sika in 2012, the preparation has started for long time. For the moment all things are in order: a spacious stand professionally designed in French elegant style, equipped with two high resolution tactile screens:

Since one month, we have managed to get our clients informed on the event with printed leaflets, press releases, emails, electronic invitations, web pages, etc. During the exhibition, visitors on site will be reminded and instructed to get to our stand thanks to pretty leaflets available at our client / partner companies’ stands.

Some gadgets are also prepared to welcome visitors

At our stand, visitors can not only get to know about all the latest innovations of Sika, but also participate in the facebook game “Sika and you”. The idea is to take pictures on site with Sika marine products. The two best pictures will be awarded with 2 iPad mini.

Last but not least, visitors can enjoy relaxing moments with some live musics performed by “Music generation” band while sipping cocktail during happy hours organised by Sika every Friday nights.

As member of the event launching group, I am sure that each day of the exhibition will be full of funs and interesting meetings. The exhibition has been a precious chance for me to learn a great deal of things which will surely be valuable for my future career.

Hello everyone !! I am an intern for Sika France in Paris for six months now, as marketing assistant, I got the chance to look into different activities of Sika and I learned a lot during that time. My internship included participation on an important industry’s show “SEPEM” in Colmar, It was very nice: the assembly of the stand, the animation during the exposure, and the atmosphere in the evening after the show. That allowed me to learn a lot about the company and to discover Colmar, a beautiful city that I have never visited… What a great experience!!

Moreover, I had the opportunity to work on the market components to set up the marketing actions. I also researched, conceived and implemented the tools of communication and marketing is the creation of a micro website dedicated to sailors and sea’s fans. I looked for all information that interest these people, such as nautical leisure centers in France, schools vessel license, safety during navigation, nautical events, sea’s weather, Sika Marine products… But also a fun space with funny pictures :)

Then I provide a business intelligence industry and participate in this context, in the development of a strategic marketing plan for Sika France’s Facebook, through the posts that I prepare with my colleagues. That makes me creative and able to implement my own ideas and imaginations.. What fascinating work !!

I also do a little something nice in connection with Sika industry’s stakeholders, about operational marketing management through gadgets.

To finish… working in a very open and friendly women’s team is the real fun!! A real group work…

All those experiences gave me a very interesting and informative introduction to my professional life. I would repeat it at any time!
