As with every great experience time passes really fast. One moment we are in Zurich at the SIKA Facilities, then in Widen at the Aliva factory, after in Lucerne and this was just the first day.
On Tuesday we went to Sarnen to visit the Sarnafil plant where Sika produces the Waterproofing Membranes. We learnt about the waterproofing systems and techniques and we saw how the membrane is produced from beginning to end.
The next day we were at the jobsite of the Choindez Tunnel. It was great to see all the process of the tunnel construction, the drilling, the shotcrete and having the opportunity to visit such a big project. We went with Oliver, Eric and Mario who were explaining and guiding us trough the site.
It’s amazing what we are able to learn and visit in just this few days. Can’t wait for the next ones :)

- I was born in Braga, a city in the north of Portugal and I studied Civil Engineering in University of Minho. I participated in the Erasmus programme in Italy and after I finished my course I was working in Poland, as Site Engineer, in the construction of the stadium of Wroclaw for EURO 2012. I had now the great opportunity to participate in the SIKA Experience Trip in Switzerland.
